CSP by the Numbers

In July 2022, the Community Scholars Program (CSP) welcomed a new cohort of diverse and accomplished Scholars. Hailing from 23 different states across the country, these students of varying racial, ethnic, gender, sexual, and religious identities came to Georgetown to successfully complete CSP’s five-week summer program, but they left Georgetown with even more: a strong community to return to at the start of the fall semester. CSP’s commitment to community-building and holistic support of first-generation, low-income students make this program and its students the unique “soul of Georgetown,” and the academic and personal success of Scholars continues to build a legacy that speaks for itself. From 2012-2017, Scholars’ graduation rate was 92%, and the classes of 2019-2022 accomplished an extremely impressive first-to-second year retention rate of 98%.
