First-Generation Students Thrive in Program Celebrating 50 Years

The Community Scholars Program, which began in 1968, is housed within the Center for Multicultural Equity and Access and attracts and supports first-generation, multicultural and other underrepresented college students while providing a transformative experience with lasting impact. Community Scholars First-to-Second Year Retention Rate for the Class of 2019 and 2020: 98%
